General Admission Guidelines

Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation (OLLCF) implements an open admission policy, adhering to the inclusive educational philosophy of its founder—to provide educational opportunities to all who deserve them.

A. General Admission Policy

1. The College admits all incoming college students into its undergraduate programs without discrimination based on academic records, standardized examination scores, gender, ethnicity, disability, special needs, religion, or political beliefs.

2. Students who are transferring or shifting programs must take an examination administered by the Guidance and Counselling Office and meet the required rating score for their chosen program.

3. The True Copy of Grades (TCG) or Transcript of Records (TOR) will be evaluated, especially for core, cognate, major, and professional courses in programs that require a specific grade or General Weighted Average (GWA), particularly those for board examinations.

4. The No student is allowed to enroll in two degree programs simultaneously within the same term or semester.

5. Students who discontinue their current degree program and transfer to another are subject to the college’s shifting policy. All academic and financial requirements from the previous program must be settled before shifting.

5. All students must follow the admission requirements set by their respective colleges.

B. Admission Guidelines

1. All incoming freshmen must submit complete admission requirements to the Registrar’s Office before proceeding with enrollment.

2. The Academic Dean will conduct an initial evaluation of transferee applicants for the undergraduate program and endorse them for an appraisal examination. Admission eligibility will be determined based on the test results and the Dean’s assessment.

3. Freshmen and new applicants for the College of Law and Graduate School, as well as all international students, must be interviewed by the Academic Dean for evaluation before admission.

4. Students who have completed a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree and wish to pursue an additional or higher degree are classified as transferees. While they are exempt from the appraisal examination, they must still submit all required admission documents.

5. Cross-enrollees are admitted only for the courses and term specified in the official permit issued by their home institution. A new permit or formal approval is required for enrollment in any additional courses.

6. All international students must get clearance from the Registrar’s Office before admission.

C. Re-Admission Guidelines

1. Returning students are considered re-admitted upon meeting the re-admission requirements of their respective college. Qualified students may proceed directly to their college enrollment adviser to complete their enrollment.

2. Students who do not meet the college's re-admission requirements, as defined by institutional policies, may be classified under a "conditional" status. This status allows for temporary admission, contingent upon the student fulfilling specific academic or behavioral conditions within a designated timeframe. The Academic Dean will conduct an interview to evaluate the student's circumstances and determine eligibility for re-admission.

3. International students must get clearance from the Registrar’s Office before admission or re-admission.

4. Shifters are classified as returning students and must follow the procedures for transferees. They will be evaluated by the Academic Dean and must take an appraisal examination through the Guidance and Counselling Office before enrolling.
